BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:50 P.M.) – The jihadist rebels attempted to recover the territory the lost to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) near the ‘Atshan front in southern Idlib, today, striking several areas under the latter’s control.

However, despite the intensity of the attack, the Free Syrian Army (FSA) groups and Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham were unable to recapture ‘Atshan or any other town nearby after several hours of fighting.

According to a military source in Hama, the rebel forces suffered another day of heavy casualties, with the majority of their losses coming from the Harakat Ahrar Al-Sham contingents in southern Idlib.

The source added that the militants are once again attacking this front in a bid to overpower the Syrian Arab Army; however, they have yet to make any gains.
