BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:00 P.M.) – The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) launched a desperate counter-offensive in the eastern region of the Euphrates River Valley last night after a string of losses at the hands of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).

Using suicide attacks to crack the Syrian Democratic Forces’ lines near Baghouz Fouqani, the Islamic State allegedly captured the town after heavy fighting last night.

However, it should be noted that the Syrian Democratic Forces have denied losing the town to the terrorist group.

The Islamic State often uses these desperate suicide tactics when they are besieged and short on provisions (e.g. Al-Safa battle).

ISIS is trying to regain the towns they lost to the Syrian Democratic Forces around Murshida; however, it appears that their momentum from last night has run out, thanks in large part to the U.S. Coalition warplanes that have been hammering their last positions in the Euphrates River Valley.

SDF claims to have killed over r0, caltured 150 IS and some got away into the countrysopide. Huge lossess for a relatively small number in the village. A sign too of low morale.

At the same time, SAA artillery pounds Daesh’s cockroaches in Safinah and Marshidah.
Some teaming with SDF?
