BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:00 P.M.) – Last night, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) came under a heavy attack by the Islamic State (ISIL) that threatened the southern entrance of Deir Ezzor City.

Within hours of launching the assault, ISIL managed to capture the Panorama School and several points around this site after overrunning the Syrian Army’s front-lines.

As ISIL began the large hilltop of Tal Umm Abboud, the Russian Air Force unleashed a large number of airstrikes across the Thardeh Mountains and Al-Thayyem Valley, killing and wounding several terrorist combatants.

Unable to fortify their positions at Tal Umm Abboud, the Islamic State militants were forced to withdraw from the hilltop earlier this morning.

The Syrian Arab Army is now attempting to recover the territory they lost, including the Panorama School and its corresponding points.

I just pray that there is not a sand storm.
The SAA has thus far stood firmly against all the US.NATO and Gulf State terror mercenaries can throw at them.
Perhaps this the time for Russia to test its FOABS. Lots of them 🙂

What NATO intervention against SAA or Syria?
Was it the case, Syria would had totally returned to the stone age!
NATO packs 70% of the military power on the planet!
And BTW, despite SERIOUS divergences mostly with the Obongo-admin and some babbles,
you should read this Wiki’s NATO PARTNERSHIP article :
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Partnership_for_Peace#Former_republics_of_the_Soviet_Union
You can see the future of NATO here, once USA, UK and Turkey are out!

I wonder how many Isis took part ,a bit of a set back I wish the Russian army would drop off more Syria troops in at the airport ,they have done it before surely they could do a few drops , Isis are starting to use more and more young teens it’s so sad cause they will be the first guy’s to get shot which means the older guy’s will be there to move forward at least they didn’t get that far with the help of the Russian air force bombing them so they didn’t get much of a foot… Read more »

I’ve said it before: the Syrian garrison of Deir-ez-Zor are the heroes of our times. It may take a generation to be recognized, but it will be.
This is to America’s jihadi mercenaries as Stalingrad was to Hitler.
