Daraa, SANA-Upon the directives of President Bashar al-Assad, Commander-in-Chief of the army and armed forces, and on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, Deputy commander-in Chief of the army, Defense Minister Fahd Jasem al-Freij, visited on Thursday a number of the armed forces’ formations in Daraa and its countryside.

Minister Freij, accompanied by a number of the army’s senior officers, met the combatants and conveyed to them President al-Assad’s greetings and pride in their sacrifices and heroism against the armed terrorist organizations.

During the tour, Minister of Defense inspected the missions being carried out by the army units and their field works against terrorist organizations.

“Our war against terrorism is continuous with full determination and commitment to defeat it, because it is the war of right against the unjust,” Minister al-Freij said.

For their part, the combatants affirmed they are determined to perform their national duty to defeat terrorism and restore security and stability to every span of Syria’s soil.

Meanwhile, leaders of military regions also visited the martyrs’ monuments and laid wreaths on behalf of President al-Assad and recited verses of Quran for the rest of their pure souls.
