At least 35 people were killed and more than 20 were wounded in a rocket attack on the city of Jaramana, southeast of Damascus, on Tuesday.
According to the Syrian state news agency SANA, the rockets were fired by militants based in Eastern Ghouta on Jaramana’s Kashkol neighbourhood, hitting a busy market.
“We went to look outside, we couldn’t see a thing because of the dust. A real massacre, I swear. Here, you wouldn’t even know what happened to the people, heads cut off,” an eyewitness recalled.
