Three buildings in Kinduriyah and Arap used by ISIS were destroyed by the Turkish airforce. It was reported that the Free Syrian Army and Turkey-backed Islamist proxies removed ISIS presence in this area.
Meanwhile, the latest advancements by the Turkey-backed forces means that there’s only 3 villages left separating them from Sarjur Lake.
The most significant event of Day 10 was Liwa al-Tahrir, an Arab militant group, leaving the Kurdish YPG-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
Liwaa al-Tahrir leader stated that the “Syrian Democratic Forces is supposed to be for all Syrians, but it seems YPG is against this”.
They defected to Turkey-backed forces and evacuated to Jarablus. Although a small group, it could suggest that the SDF will begin to fracture. The main gripes of Liwa al-Tahrir was the authoritarian nature of the YPG.
