The Al-Qaeda linked “Al-Nusra Front” (Jabhat Al-Nusra) is no stranger to the Jordanian border; they have repeatedly entered and exited Syria via Jordan without any repercussions from the Jordanian Army.
On Friday evening, the Al-Nusra Front suffered significant casualties while combatting the Syrian Arab Army’s 7th Armored Division and Hezbollah (Party of God); this led to at least a dozen wounded Al-Nusra Front terrorists being transported across the Syrian border into Jordan.
According to a military source in Dara’a, an SAA drone captured footage of the enemy combatants crossing through a Jordanian Army checkpoint and into the country.
Recently, Jordanian Government officials denied harboring any terrorist organizations inside their country; however, Syrian Military Intelligence believes that Al-Qaeda training camps are present in the Jordanian city of Mafraq. Mafraq is also host to one of the largest Syrian refugee camps inside of Jordan.
