DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:50 P.M.) – Militants who surrendered to the Syrian Army in Daraa province have pledged to hand over all their weapons in exchange of having their status settled.
The weapons expected to be handed over include anti-tank ATGMs type Milan, HJ-8 and Fagot, in addition to huge quantities of light, medium and heavy weapons.
A military source expected rebels’ arsenal in Daraa to be 5 times greater than that acquired by the Syrian Army from rebel groups in East Qalamoun two months ago.
Unlike East Qalamoun militants who had their arsenal by raiding Syrian Army armories, weapons were supplied to Daraa rebels via foreign countries, including the USA and Israel
