BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:20 P.M.) – The Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) has struck back against the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) and Iraq’s Hashd Al-Sha’abi after the latter two attacked the terrorist group’s positions near the key border-city of Albukamal.

According to a military source in Damascus, Daesh launched a fresh barrage of missiles and artillery shells towards the Syrian Arab Army’s positions in the Albukamal countryside.

The terrorist group would then turn their attention to the Hashd Al-Sha’abi forces, who were deployed along the Deir Ezzor-Anbar axis.

This response by the terrorist group comes just hours after the Syrian Army and Hashd Al-Sha’abi teamed up to launch a powerful assault against Daesh near the Baghouz Mountain.
