BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 P.M.) – Details have come forth on which Syrian Army and allied forces units are partaking in the operation to seize the rebel stronghold city of Douma in eastern Damascus.

According to sources, key formations involved in what is mostly likely the last East Ghouta operation ever to take place includes the Syrian Army’s Tiger Forces Division and Republican Guard as well as the Palestinian Al-Quds Brigade (a pro-government auxiliary force).

Whilst vanguard units of the Tiger Forces Division advance on Douma from the west and south with the support of Palestinian fighters (at least on the western axis), Syrian Republican Guard units advance from the east via Ar-Rayhan.

As far as Tiger Forces operations go, the assault against rebel fighters continues even during the darkest hours of the night with the aid of newly-acquired infrared sighting equipment (see here).
