DAMASCUS, SYRIA (3:00 P.M.) – The Syrian forces continue to grab more lands from the Islamic State in east Swaida countryside amid massive jihadi retreat.
Using heavy artillery and missile shelling, the Syrian Army managed to advance into the rocky cliffs surrounding Safa Hilltops; the last ISIS stronghold in the area.
The strikes killed more than 20 ISIS militants, including 3 snipers whose fire curbed the Army’s advance at one point.
The area where the extremist jihadists are holed up is completely surrounded by the government troops, who periodically finish off ISIS militants attempting to flee.
