A US and a Russian warship nearly collided in the East China Sea as seen in footage filmed on Friday, with each side pointing the finger at the other.
Footage shows the two ships passing each other at a dangerously close proximity.
The US Navy claimed the Russian destroyer, Admiral Vinogradov, conducted an ‘unsafe maneuver’ 50-100 feet (15- 30 meters) away from the USS Chancellorsville.
Russia’s Pacific Fleet alleged that the US warship suddenly changed direction, forcing the Russian crew to perform an ’emergency maneuver.’
The US said it would lodge a formal complaint with Russia over the incident.
