Clashes took place between the Chinese and Indian armies on June 15, in the Galwan Valley region of Ladakh, and resulted in several deaths.
The soldiers of the two nuclear-armed states have faced several disputes along their border, but the outcome of the latest clash is the largest since the clashes that took place between the two sides in 1967, in which the death toll was estimated in the hundreds.
