The recently formed (HTS) Hayyat Tahrir Al-Sham jihadist militants have launched new blitz offensive on Monday against the Islamist faction of Ahrar Asham in Idlib and northen Hama.

Pro-opposition sources claimed that HTS has captured several checkpoints from Ahrar Asham in Al-Mastoumah and Kafr Yahmoul, cutting the main road between Idlib city and Ariha.

Ahrar Asham media has published a new statement explaining the recent infighting with HTS, calling them to unite and stay out of troubles.

Since terrorist forces rapidly invaded Idlib, the province has been engulfed by continuous infighting.

Whose Caliphate is Idlib? Chaos wars in the Promised Land of the Jihad.

Long term strategic thinking about civil war and economy demands that You must spare the infrastructure especially of the towns if possible. So the agreements on reconciliation and withdrawal to Idlib were musts.

That the move to Idlib fuels rebel infighting is an extra boon.

Do I not recall some who were saying “Assad should not let the ‘rebels’ move to Idlib, just kill them on the spot”… Well, first, doing so would have made him a criminal and, if you learn how things turned for ALL caliphates, as soon they confronted strong opposition, soon, groups began to infight each others for the possession of loot and control of the turf as… Anyone wants to be the caliph in the place of the caliph…

Assad let them go to spare the infrastructure of the towns. Towns are easy to defend – so You spare the defenders. Provided they go.
