A French man who was held hostage by Islamic State militants says one of his captors is the suspect in a murder trial following the killing of four people near a Jewish Museum in Brussels.
Nicholas Henin, who was released from captivity in Syria in April, says Mehdi Nemmouche beat him “a number of times” and claims he witnessed him “torturing local prisoners”.
As ITV News Correspondent Neil Connery reports, Henin claims Nemmouche had a “very strong ego” and joined Islamic State militants “because he was looking for a destiny of his own”.
