BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:25 A.M.) – For the first time time since they began their air campaign in Syria, the Royal Air Force (RAF) of Great Britain attacked the so-called Islamic State’s (ISIS) drone operating teams in the northern part of the country.
According to the British Ministry of Defense, RAF Reaper, Typhoon, and Tornado drones provided support to the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces in the Deir Ezzor Governorate by attacking the Islamic State in the northeastern part of the Euphrates River Valley.
“As the threats we face rapidly evolve and intensify, the work our brave armed forces do is paramount to our security at home and abroad,” Defense Secretary Mr Williamson said, as quoted by the Express and Star.
“We have been clear that Daesh terrorists have nowhere to hide and we will continue to fight until their poisonous global network is totally destroyed,” Williamson added.
The British Ministry of Defense added in their report that their Air Force specifically conducted strikes against ISIS drone teams on January 11th and 13th.
