BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:20 P.M.) – The U.S. Coalition has once again attacked the Syrian Armed Forces in southeastern countryside of the Homs Governorate, targeting a unit advancing towards the Al-Tanf Crossing.

“The Coalition destroyed additional pro-regime forces that advanced inside the well-established de-conflication zone in southern Syria on June 6,” a statement released by the Pentagon read today.

The Coalition allegedly sent several warnings to the advancing Syrian Army troops, but they refused to halt their push towards the Al-Tanf Crossing on the Iraqi-Syrian border.

Previously, the U.S. Coalition carried out a similar attack on May 18th that killed several Syrian military personnel that were advancing against the Free Syrian Army (FSA) units in southeast Homs.

The Syrian military command has not issued a response to the U.S.’ aggression.

They never approached to US created so called de-conflicting zone. They were heading towards Deir Ezzur to help the encircled Syrian forces there. This attack is in direct support of ISIS. Russia is useless there and it can just as well pack and go home.

The priority now is to lift the siege at Deir Ezzor. After that is done the border areas can be cleared by force in necessary.

Please Deo Cass look at the map. Otherwise agreed Deir ez Zour should be priority 1. Anyway I don’t understand why they have to advance against al Tanf. It must be a better idea to secure the desert and the roads around it. Then it will be pointless to hold it. The US talk of deconfliction zone there is rubbish. If the PMU wants to come into Syria and help they can go through further north after seizing the border. The US are doing this because thery want to control the highways long term. but they are playing with fire… Read more »
