BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:45 A.M.) – Two top commanders from the US-backed, Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have defected to the Syrian Arab Army (SAA).

The defectors are from the SDF’s Jund al-Haramayn Brigade – an Arab formation within the Kurdish-led alliance – and include the top commander of the formation, Ibrahim al-Banawi, and fellow officer Fayad al-Ghanem.

The Jund al-Haramayn Brigade is, according to reports, located in the area of Manbij, suggesting that the SDF commanders defected to the Syrian Army via co-joining lines in north Aleppo or possibly southern Raqqa.

Both defected officers have since met with top commander of the SAA’s elite Tiger Forces Division Suheil al-Hassan (shown in the photos below).

If the kurds think they going to easily steal the whole north of Syria just because they are US puppets , they are in for a rude awakening. Biji Turdistan (israel 2.0) wont succeed

Yes, they have lived there but more north, and they were living peacefully under Syria government rules before ISIS-Daesh-Nustra and anexas moderated terrorists. However, this is Syria land and they must obey Syria law, but now, kurds are now US-Israel puppets, and it is very likely they have to fight with Syria government if they want (USA) to be independents. Kurds must realize and understand that USA-NATO-Israel are the creators of ISIS-Daesh-Nustra and moderated terrorists, they must not play the innocent baby game.

Just because you live somewhere, doesn’t mean you own the place lol. There are only about 1,5 million Kurds in Syria. Their homeland is Iran (and parts of Turkey), not Syria and Iraq. Their wet dream of ”Kurdistan” will be broken soon.

Our Kurdish Brothers and Sisters need to make a wise decision as we are at the crossroads now. There is still time to make the right decision. Kurds, like many of our diverse Peoples will not be able to stand long alone without a United Syria, for the Kurds, their lands and People will be destroyed by Turkey. Move fast in a correct way and The Syrian Government and People will forgive mistakes, be forgiven for mistakes and grant the Syrian Kurds a high level of Autonomy. Walk away from the illegal “Coalition”, remove all Foreign Military Bases and “Advisors”,… Read more »

When the State Department says that the US is done once ISIS is defeated, is it any wonder you won’t keep many allies who are there permanently?

Read more »

These men would be trusted and accepted in the ranks of the Syrian Arab Army!
What a chance there are to be spies in the service of their former bosses!

Once the SAA is done with ISIS and al-Qaeda, the Kurds will have two choices:

1. Work out a deal with Damascus whereby they disband their military units and recognize Syrian sovereignty over all of Syria, in exchange for some local autonomy in predominantly Kurdish towns and villages.

2. Face all out war from the SAA while Turkey attacks them from the rear.

Sounds fake. 1,500 regime soldiers defected to SDF yesterday, so this is likely to be retaliatory propaganda.
