BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:20 P.M.) – For the second time this week, Turkish warplanes were spotted flying over the Aleppo and Idlib countrysides, a source in northern Syria told Al-Masdar News.

According to the source, the Turkish warplanes were spotted over the key front-line towns of Al-Hader and Tal Al-‘Eis, which are currently under the control of the jihadist rebels.

The source added that the Syrian military believes the Turkish warplanes are observing Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions with these overflights, as they have been mostly flying over the jihadist positions.

While Turkey and Syria have no diplomatic or military relations, they do remain in contact through their Russian allies.

The Syrian military has not activated their air defenses nor has their been increase in their alert level; this is likely due to Turkey getting approval from their Russian counterparts.

Syria is not in good position to start a war with Turkey right now. So, not engaging is best bet for the Syrian Army right now…
