BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:10 P.M.) – For the second time in the last 48 hours, the Turkish Air Force has bombed an archaeological site in Syria’s Afrin Canton.
According to local activists, the Turkish Air Force bombed the ancient city of Cyrrhus (var. Nabi Houri, Hagioupolis), which is home to the famous Roman amphitheater.
No casualties have been reported.
Previously, the Turkish Air Force launched an attack on the historical town of ‘Ayn Dara, which is also located inside the Afrin Canton – several parts of this town were damaged.
