BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:20 P.M.) – The Turkish military launched a new attack against the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG) in the northern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate this afternoon.

According to local reports, the Turkish military heavily shelled the Kobane (var. ‘Ayn Al-‘Arab) countryside, hitting a town called Zawar Maghar several projectiles.

The apparent target for the Turkish military was the Kurdish-led People’s Protection Units (YPG), who are deeply embedded around Kobane.

No casualties have been reported as of yet.

These latest strikes come just hours after Turkish spy planes were spotted over the northern region of Syria.

This is empty, postering and futile. It can only act as proof towards US that Turkey is only interested in attacking kurds. Not in defending itself.

It will give added impetus to US defending SDF.

@Karel, I doubt that the US will actively defend their Kurdish mercenaries.

Where are our patriot missles to shoot down the turk’s missles that are raing down on our Kurdish allies? We have to protect them and counter attack them. At the end of this war I hope that the kurds will finally have their own country.
