The Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) has announced that they have received their first equipment supplies since US President Donald Trump entered the White House.

The SDF which comprises mostly of the Kurdish People’s Protection units revealed to AFP that they received armoured vehicles.

“US armoured vehicles have arrived for SDF for first time,” SDF spokesman Talal Sello told AFP.

Trump’s administration pledged “extra support” according to the spokesman.

The SDF are engaged in intense battles with ISIS in northern Syria.

So am I – but there is oil on the water already. To soothe Erdogan Sultan’s wrath US Department of Defense spokesperson Rankine-Galloway clarified: “The United States has supplied the Syrian Arab Coalition with up-armored vehicles to aid in the counter-Islamic State offensive on Raqqa.”

I don’t think there is any reliable indication yet as to where these vehicles actually came from. Saying they came from Trump appears to be wishful thinking. If “Trump” was arming the Kurds, there would be a lot more going on than a few 4x4s.

The up-armored vehicles are to help against IS car bombs. IMHO likely technicals or Humvees with heavy machine guns that can beat the usual armors of suicide vehicles.
