BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:10 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a powerful assault in southwest Aleppo, tonight, following a day filled with sporadic attacks by the jihadist rebels.
According to a military report from Aleppo city, the Syrian Army unleashed at least 30 missiles on the jihadist-held towns of Khan Al-‘Assal and Al-Mansoura.
These missile strikes reportedly targeted the jihadist positions and avoided the Turkish military’s observation points that are located in this part of the Aleppo Governorate.
Despite the presence of the Turkish military in the area, the hostilities between the jihadist rebels and Syrian Arab Army have not subsided.
A source from the Syrian military has accused the jihadist rebels of breaching the ceasefire in Aleppo, adding that their attacks have threatened the security of the city’s residents.
