BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has uncovered a mass grave from inside Daraa city, tonight, a military communique from the National Defense Forces (NDF) read.
According to the communique, the Syrian Army unearthed the mass grave while combing through the neighborhoods that the rebels used to control in the Al-Manishiyah District of Daraa city.
The communique added that at least 11 bodies inside of this mass grave were believed to be the corpses of 11 Syrian Arab Army soldiers that were missing since the start of the armed conflict.
No further details were released.
The rebel forces controlled several building blocks inside the Al-Manishiyah District for years before they finally agreed to surrender their territories to the Syrian Arab Army late last month.
