BEIRUT, LEBANON (8:30 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has once again struck a Turkish observation post in the northwestern countryside of the Hama Governorate.
According to a report from northwestern Hama, the Syrian Army targeted the militant-held Sheir Magher area where the Turkish military has a large observation post.
No casualties have been reported thus far.
Earlier this week, the Syrian Army struck a Turkish observation post in the same area, resulting in the death of one soldier and hospitalization of three others.
In retaliation for the shelling, the Turkish military attacked a couple of the Syrian Army checkpoints in northwestern Hama.
Following the incident, the Turkish authorities summoned the Russian military attache in Syria and demanded that they control the Syrian Army in northwestern Hama.
