BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:40 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) launched a new attack to capture the key town of Kabani in the northeastern countryside of the Latakia Governorate.
Led by the 4th Armored Division, the Syrian Arab Army began their assault by launching a flurry of missiles and artillery shells towards the positions of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party (TIP).
During this barrage of missiles, the militants accused the Syrian Arab Army of using chlorine gas against them.
The Syrian Arab Army would then storm Kabani’s southern axis in a bid to enter the town. According to a military source, the Syrian Arab Army is currently engaged in a fierce battle with the militants in southern Kabani.
No advance has been reported by the Syrian Arab Army.
Over the last two weeks, the Syrian Arab Army has been attempting to enter Kabani from its southern heights. However, all of their attacks have been repulsed by HTS and TIP thus far.
