BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:40 P.M.) – For the second day in a row, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has scored a big advance inside the eastern countryside of the Sweida Governorate.
Led by their 4th Armored Division, the Syrian Arab Army resumed their field operations in eastern Sweida, today, targeting several areas controlled by the Islamic State terrorists.
According to a field report from Sweida, the Syrian Arab Army, alongside the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Syrian Social Nationalist Party (SSNP), managed to liberate Rami Shabki area after a fierce battle with the Islamic State.
As a result of today’s advance, the Syrian Arab Army has now liberated several square kilometers of territory, leaving the Islamic State confined to primarily a desert area in the Badiya Al-Sham region of Al-Sweida.
The Syrian Arab Army is currently attempting to capture the last hilltops before making a big push in the ISIS stronghold of Kara’.
