BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:40 A.M.) – For the fifth night in a row, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has launched a big night assault in the East Ghouta region, targeting several areas under the control of Jaysh Al-Islam.

Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army continued their advance from recently captured Utaya and Al-Nashabiyah, pushing their way to the Al-Obb Orchards and Al-Ash’ari Farms after a fierce battle with the Islamist rebels.

According to Al-Masdar’s field correspondent in Damascus, the Syrian Army reached now only the Al-Obb Orchards and Al-Ash’ari Farms, but also, the Jaysh Al-Islam held towns of Beit Sawa and Mesraba.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Army now possesses fire control over the Shifouniyah-Douma Road, which is a primary supply line for Jaysh Al-Islam in the East Ghouta region.
