BEIRUT, LEBANON (11:55 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) surprised the Islamic State (ISIL) militants in the southeastern countryside of Homs, today, with a powerful attack on their defenses near the strategic T-2 Pumping Station.

Syrian Republican Guard units began the assault this afternoon, hitting ISIL’s defenses from their own positions at the recently liberated Humaymah area.

The Syrian Army was able to secure an important 7km advance eastward to the T-2 Pumping Station, leaving them within striking distance of this strategic site for the first time in years.

According to a military source in Palmyra, the T-2 Pumping Station is expected to fall to the Syrian Army by the end of this weekend, as ISIL lacks the high ground and territorial advantage.

The T-2 Pumping Station is the last site that is located before the Deir Ezzor Governorate’s western border.

The advance on Deir Ezzur should come now before the US foreign Kurdish terrorist mercenaries invade it themselves and strip it from Syria. The attack for the lifting of the siege of Deir Ezzur and liberating the whole governorate should come from the nearest point, namely Raqqa by the Tiger Forces. There is no time to lose. How many times have we heard this of the Syrian army having a last outpost to take before Deir Ezzur? Someone obviously wants to delay the Syrian government liberation of Deir Ezzur and wants the Syrian Arab Arab to continue going round and… Read more »
