BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:45 P.M.) – For the second time in the last 24 hours, the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has made an attempt to capture the key hilltop of Tal Malah in northwestern Hama.
Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army reportedly stormed the western and southern axes of Tal Malah in a bid to expel the jihadist rebels of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham from the hilltop.
At the same time, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) is heavily targeting the militant supply lines in northern Hama to ensure that they are unable to reinforce their troops at Tal Malah.
The Syrian Army needs to capture Tal Malah in order to reopen the main road between the two Christian towns of Al-Sqaylabiyeh and Mhardeh.
The road between these two towns was closed last week when the jihadist rebels and their Turkish-backed allies launched a surprise offensive in this part of the Hama Governorate.
