BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has liberated another district in Deir Ezzor after a fierce battle with the so-called Islamic State (ISIS) in the central part of the city.

Led by the Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army stormed the central part of the Al-Jubeileh District, today, scoring a big a advance after breaking through the Islamic State’s main line of defense.

Within hours of launching the attack, the Syrian Arab Army was able to liberate all of Al-Jubeileh, marking the first time since 2012 that the government has had full control of this large district.

In addition to liberating Al-Jubeileh, the Syrian Arab Army has also captured Central Park, which is located at the northern corridor of the Al-Hamidiyah Quarter.

The Syrian Arab Army is now attempting to expel ISIS from Al-Hamidiyah and Sheikh Yassine.

Be Agreeable, Even When You Disagree

You may wish to respond to something by disagreeing with it. That’s fine. But remember to criticize ideas, not people. Please avoid:

  • Name-calling
  • Ad hominem attacks
  • Responding to a post’s tone instead of its actual content
  • Knee-jerk contradiction

Instead, provide reasoned counter-arguments that improve the conversation.
