The Syrian Arab Army’s 104th Airborne Brigade of the Republican Guard – backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF) – liberated the Industrial Zone of Deir Ezzor City on Monday evening after a violent battle with the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) militants.

According to a source at the Deir Ezzor Military Airport, the Syrian Armed Forces were able to liberate the Industrial Zone after retaining control over the nearby Industrial District in the provincial capital.

The source added that the Syrian Armed Forces killed over 20 enemy combatants while also making their first major push to the western bank of the Euphrates River.

In addition to their advance in southern Deir Ezzor City, the Syrian Special Forces – backed by Hashd Al-Sha’abi – advanced from the Thayyem Oil Fields towards the strategic city of Mohassan.

The Syrian Armed Forces are now 10 km north of Mohassan and continuously gaining ground on the ISIS terrorists everyday.

Unbelievable! Where do they have fighters for an offensive? Are there coming new fighters by plane or what? I would expect, that they would only defend themselves. But no, they conquer new territory. 🙂
