BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:10 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored a major victory, today, when their forces liberated the entire southern of Hajar Al-Aswad.
Led by the 105th Brigade of the Republican Guard, the Syrian Army was able to capitalize on their recent gains, pushing the Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists towards the Hajar Al-Aswad Cemetery.
The Syrian Army would not let up their assault, they would ultimately seize all of the Islamic State’s positions and eliminate their fighters that refused to surrender.
Since liberating this southern pocket, the Syrian Army has shifted their attention to the Islamic State’s last positions in Hajar Al-Aswad.
With virtually nowhere to go, the Islamic State will likely ask for peace terms in order to have their remaining fighters evacuated to Deir Ezzor.
