BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:40 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has nearly liberated all of Deir Ezzor City, today, after making a massive advance inside the provincial capital.

Led by their elite Tiger Forces and 4th Mechanized Division, the Syrian Arab Army continued their advance from recently liberated Al-Hamidiyah to the Sheikh Yassine District.

Not long after launching this attack, the Syrian Arab Army managed to break-through the Islamic State’s defenses at Sheikh Yassine, resulting in the complete liberation of the district.

In addition to liberating Sheikh Yassine, the Syrian Arab Army took control of the Al-Baajn and Abu Abed districts, while also liberating most of Al-Rashidiyah and Al-Ardi.

ISIS is now confined to a small part of the Al-Rashidiyah and Al-Ardi districts, leaving nearly 97 percent of the provincial capital under the Syrian Army’s control.
