BEIRUT, LEBANON (1:25 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) scored another big advance in the Hama Governorate, tonight, liberating several towns from the so-called Islamic State (ISIS).

Led by their Tiger Forces, the Syrian Arab Army managed to take control of at least five towns from the Islamic State, following a short battle with the aforementioned terrorist group tonight.

According to a military source in Hama, the Syrian Army liberated the towns of Al-Dabiyah, Al-Naqroush, Talal Al-Janoubi, Rajm Al-Abel Al-Sharqi, and Rajm Al-Abel Al-Gharbi.

As a result of this advance, the Syrian Arab Army has now seized 15 towns from the Islamic State in the last 24 hours, liberating more than 50 percent of this pocket in the process.

This is marvellous news. With the YPG massively reinforcing Afrin , the Turks will have terrorist manpower problems. This should aid the SAA in Idlib as Erdogan will have serious problems at home if he retreats from Afrin and if he does not the cost will be very high in manpower and money. The Genie of war is always unpredictable and a complicated strategy is more likely to fail. Turkey will IMHO not withdraw from al Bab. They regard it as territory belonging to the Turkmens minority there. Another Northern Cyprus!

They have shown that they know how in their offensives against IS for more than a year.

Practice of deep penetration. Russian style. Modern combined arms tactic with sufficient equipment, highly skilled and motivated personnel. IMHO.
