BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:20 P.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has begun a new military operation in the Hama Governorate, targeting the southwestern part of the Salamiyah District that is controlled by the jihadist rebels.

Backed by the National Defense Forces (NDF), the Syrian Arab Army began the operation by storming the small town of Saleem and its surroundings.

According to a military source in the Hama Governorate, the Syrian Arab Army has already captured the town of Saleem and its nearby points that were identified as Al-Madajin and Al-Alameh.

The Syrian Army is now attempting to secure the area around the town, while their air force hammers the jihadist supply routes to the Salamiyah countryside.
