BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:10 A.M.) – The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has just captured the last town east of Daraa city after a fierce battle with the Free Syrian Army’s Southern Front Brigades.
Backed by heavy airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Army was able to overpower the rebel forces at the town of Al-Naimah, forcing the latter to fall back to the eastern district of Daraa.
This fresh advance by the Syrian Army comes just 18 hours after their troops captured the neighboring town of Saida from the Free Syrian Army and their allies.
With Al-Naimah captured, the Syrian Army will now move towards the eastern part of the provincial capital, as the 4th Division inside the city pushes south towards the Daraa Al-Balad District.
The Syrian Army will not only launch this new offensive on the provincial capital, but they will also work to clear the remaining towns around Daraa city.
