Moments ago, the Syrian Arab Army’s “Cheetah Forces” (Tiger Forces branch) – in coordination with the National Defense Forces (NDF) and Kataebat Al-Ba’ath (Al-Ba’ath Battalion) – imposed full control over the village of Al-Huwayjinah after seizing the imperative hilltop of Tal Na’am during their Friday morning operations in the Aleppo Governorate’s eastern countryside.
The village of Al-Huwayjinah is located northwest of Tal Na’am and southeast of ‘Ayn Sabil; this captured village is strategically situated along the road that leads from the Deir Hafer Plains’ western countryside to the imperative city of Al-Safeera inside east Aleppo.
Over the last two weeks, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies have captured a large chunk of territory from the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham (ISIS) in east Aleppo; this success is part of the Syrian Armed Forces’ wide-scale offensive in the Deir Hafer Plains to lift the two year long siege imposed by ISIS at the Kuweires Military Airport.
In addition to their success at the village of Al-Huwayjinah, the Syrian Arab Army and their allies have carried out a powerful assault on the terrorist group’s positions at Burayjeh, destroying a militant hideout near the southwestern axis of this east Aleppo town.
Recently, a large convoy of reinforcements entered the Aleppo Governorate from northeast Latakia in order to assist the Syrian Armed Forces in their fight against the Islamist rebels and the terrorists of ISIS; as a result, they have achieved a significant amount of success in the last 48 hours
