BEIRUT, LEBANON (12:50 P.M.) – Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) began heavily bombarding the Islamic State’s (ISIS) last stronghold in eastern Sweida.
The Syrian Air Force launched several strikes on the Al-Safa Mountain, hitting the exposed Islamic State terrorists as the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) prepares to storm this last stronghold.
According to a military communique, the Syrian Arab Army has moved in position to storm the Al-Safa Mountain for the third time in the last 48 hours.
The previous two attacks by the Syrian Arab Army resulted in the liberation of several points, but the Islamic State was still able to retain control over the mountaintop.
Once the Al-Safa Mountain is liberated, the Syrian Arab Army will be in full control of the Sweida Governorate for the first time in several years.
Furthermore, once this operation is completed, the Syrian Arab Army will be able to send the 1st, 3rd, 10th, and 15th divisions north towards the Hama and Latakia governorates.
