BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:45 A.M.) – Minutes ago, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) carried out several airstrikes over the southwestern countryside of the Aleppo Governorate.
According to a military source in Aleppo city, the Syrian Air Force specifically targeted the Regiment 46 Base that is located just north of the Idlib Governorate’s border.
The base, which was captured by the militants during the first years of the war, has served as an imperative installation for the jihadist rebels inside the Aleppo Governorate.
This heavy bombardment by the Syrian Air Force comes just days after the Syrian Arab Army sent a large number of reinforcements to the southern Aleppo town of Al-Hadher.
The Syrian Army’s high command is mulling a new operation to clear all of the militant forces from the southern part of Aleppo.
