Minutes ago in the Al-Hasakah Governorate’s southern countryside, the U.S. backed “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF) advanced to the gates Al-Shadadi, where they have nearly encircled the Islamic State of Iraq and Al-Sham’s (ISIS) last stronghold in the province, leaving them with only one route to retreat from this city.

Based on the latest reports from the SDF’s social media activists, the aforementioned rebel group has reached the northeastern gates of Al-Shadadi after seizing the important crossroad that is located just 1 km away from the city.

In addition to their advance at the northeastern perimeter, the SDF have also reached the northwestern flank of Al-Shadadi, leaving just 3 km of territory between them and the city’s gates.

ISIS is in big trouble as of now; if they do not find a quick remedy to the SDF’s rapid advance, they will lose their last stronghold in the Al-Hasakah Governorate and quickly endanger their positions in the Deir Ezzor Governorate.
