BEIRUT, LEBANON (9:30 P.M.) – The Iraqi-led Hashd Al-Sha’abi forces carried out a powerful attack against the Islamic State (ISIS/ISIL/IS/Daesh) inside Syria, the group’s media wing announced this evening.

According to Hashd Al-Sha’abi, their forces attacked a group of Islamic State militants that were trying to escape from the town of Baghouz Fouqani.

Hashd Al-Sha’abi said their forces managed to kill scores of Islamic State fighters after they ran into heavy artillery and missiles in the eastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

The Iraqi forces were monitoring the battle east of the Euphrates and decided to strike once they witnessed the Islamic State terrorists fleeing the battlefield.

The reason for the Islamic State retreat was due to the large-scale advance by the U.S.-backed Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) and their Coalition allies, who were hammering the terrorist group from above.

At the peak of their power, only YPG was fighting IS, together with some small FSA units. SAA either left or had some small, isolated, garrisons fighting them and FSA fought a little, folded and merged with IS.

ISIS rushed in Syria only after having wrecked serious havoc in Iraq, when they were ally to general al-Douri’s private army who actually was the planner of their blitzkrieg…
And there was serious help from Qassem Soleimani who, BTW, smuggled Zarqawi (ISIS founder) into Iraq after he hid into Iran for a while…

I dont see ISIS tucking their tails at all. They fight almost down to all of them are dead and as very well organized veterans.

Its normal in modern warfare, that if You loose terrain, You try to regain another and regain, what You have and if possible find the small reinforcements, whcih are left.

That isnt only soldiers but weapon, ammo, food, fuel in depots already being there. Its also sleep and rest if possible.

True ISIS being both clever and lucky spread wide and well very fast.

When attacked, many have surrendered, some fled to other ISIS areas, and some are holding the line. Their prospects of survival as an organized group are rapidly diminishing daily. the remnants will be flushed out and given their reputation I highly doubt local Syrians and Iraqis will support them. Sure they have a cult following and have the ability to recruit but recruits have nowhere to go. they are living on borrowed time and their hidden weapons are being confiscated as they retreat. Unless some for foreign government or intelligence agencies resupplies them they are toast.

You mean until the u.s. recycles them again!!! Remember the blackhawks picking up the head honchos and moving them to the next place on the map?? Yes the loony ones are getting hammered but they are the cannon fodder.

Those who don’t surrender to SDF are dead men walking (since SDF don’t execute prisoners). Would ISIS dudes fall into Iraqi govt hands, well, there are already hundreds waiting to be hanged in jails…
I don’t know what happens to those caught by SAA… Any way, Hague Convention allowing to execute irregular fighters on the spot, I actually don’t care if SAA does so or jails ’em.

Tsss, the “take no prisoners” order is a war crime and promoting it is apology of war crime which is punishable in many countries….
Shhhh, say nothing, keep calm and don’t forget to starve the pigs, they will finish the job. Take care : only thing pigs can’t digest is hair 😉

The pigs are better. Just record their corpses being eaten by pigs, post it on YT and all mudjahideen gonna fear to mess with you. Vlad III of Wallachia AKA Vlad Tepesh (the Impaller) AKA Dracula used to impale the Sultan’s ghazis bonded into pig skins and put up an “forrest” of impalled ghazis. Once the Sultan’s 300k manpower army reached the “forrest”, they disbanded, believing this was the gates of hëll. Dracula only had 300 knights and soldiers. 1 vs. 1,000, probably the most tremendous victory in history! No surprise you can find Vlad’s statues everywhere in Romania! Slicing… Read more »
