BEIRUT, LEBANON (7:30 P.M.) – The Saudi Coalition, alongside the pro-government Yemeni Army, launched a large-scale offensive in the Al-Jawf Governorate on Thursday.
Backed by heavy airstrikes, the Saudi Coalition and Yemeni Army stormed the Houthi-held Khabb w Ash Sha’af District in a bid to capture this strategic area in the Al-Jaw Governorate.
According to pro-Saudi media, the Coalition and Yemeni troops are working to bypass the Houthi forces’ first line of defense at this imperative district.
No advances have been reported as of yet.
With the battle of Hodeidah at a standstill, the Saudi Coalition has shifted their attention to northern Yemen, where they are hoping to retake the northwestern border from the Houthi forces.
