DAMASCUS, SYRIA (7:30 P.M.) – Moments ago, a Russian soldier was killed in the eastern countryside of Hama if one is to believe the ISIS-linked Amaq Agency.
The soldier, who remains unnamed for now, was supposedly shot dead during skirmishes with jihadist insurgents at the town of Mashirfah, located directly southeast of Uqarybat.
This is notably the same region where the Russian-trained ‘ISIS Hunters’ are deployed.
Al-Masdar News not able to independently verify the Amaq Agency bulletin covering the alleged death while the Kremlin is yet to address the alleged death.
Yesterday, ISIS released a 19-minute propaganda video depicting fierce battles with the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) in eastern Hama.
