BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:20 P.M.) – The Russian Hmeymim Airbase has come under attack again after armed drones attempted to bomb several sites inside the military installation.

According to a military source in the nearby town of Jableh, the Russian military activated their air defense sirens after the armed drones entered vicinity of the Hmeymim Airbase tonight.

The source added that the Russian military was able to destroy the armed drones before they could hit any targets inside the Hmeymim Airbase.

This latest attack by the militant groups in northern Syria comes just days after they first launched their armed drone strikes on the Hmeymim Airbase and its surroundings.

The first known armed drone strike on the Hmeymim Airbase occurred in late December of 2017, when the militants caught the Russian military off guard and hit several sites inside the installation.

Northern Syria, where assorted terrorist enemies of Assad, all supported by imperial American, needs to be cleaned up pronto. Assad has been super reasonable, allowing many of the terrorists defeated in other parts of Syria to be bussed into northern Syria. I’m not sure that that was super reasonable. Whatever. They have shown that they need to be busted, not bussed. You can do one of two things with the lawless, violent American State: 1. surrender and give up on your people or 2. take them on militarily. That choice is forced upon targetted leaders everywhere. The American ruling class… Read more »

Actually, it’s mostly a Qatar-Turkey shït since Saudis obviously pulled their funding out… The US role is (was?) real but never was the leading actor : it was a pay-to-play on the Clinton Foundation and lobbying that bought ‘political’ and logistical support. Let me be clear : was it an US operation, even without any ally, Syria would have felt in days. “Assad has been super reasonable, allowing many of the terrorists defeated in other parts of Syria to be bussed into northern Syria. I’m not sure that that was super reasonable” => It was the best thing to do… Read more »

Good advertising for Russian SAM systems. Sufficient for all those who criticized their ability because they did not have combat actions. They now had and proved themselves.

Mostly advertising for Pantsir which has more to be seen as a C-RAM/CIWS. This is NOT “SAM” job https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter_Rocket,_Artillery,_and_Mortar https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Close-in_weapon_system Now, against aircraft, Pantsir is not so interesting : might be OK if the aircraft enters the guns’ range but, to reduce costs, missiles are guided by radio link, thus easy to jam. Now, as a C-RAM, it has also shown less efficiency than Iron-Dome, thus, performances and features are pretty different : Pantsir’s gun may be practical if missiles miss then it’s really inexpensive against such improvised drones, but also you only have 12 missiles with only 20km range,… Read more »

Con Drones de EE.UU., en esta parte los terroristas tienen apoyo de Erdogan (hermandad musulmana), es por ello la necesidad de que el ejercito Sirio avance a través de la frontera Turca.
