BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:20 P.M.) – The Russian Air Force unleashed a massive attack across northern Syria, today, targeting several sites under the control of the jihadist rebels.

Led by their Sukhoi jets, the Russian Air Force repeatedly bombed the positions of Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham and the Turkestan Islamic Party along the Turkey-Idlib border this afternoon.

According to a military source in northern Hama, the Russian Air Force specifically bombed the jihadist positions inside the Jisr Al-Shughour District.

Jisr Al-Shughour has been under the control of the jihadist rebels since the Summer of 2015 when they launched an offensive to capture the district and the nearby Al-Ghaab Plain.

These Russian airstrikes come just a day after the Turkish military began patrolling the demilitarized zone inside the Idlib and Hama governorates.

Now THAT took cojones! Russia knows that Turkey supports the Turkestan group but it went ahead and bombed it. Let’s hope the Russia-Turkey partnership is resilient.

Except they didn’t bombed TIP, they bombed Qaedans. Turks have largely the means to do this, they have powerful aerial means, their Cirit podded guided aerial rocket is pretty impressive to hunt vehicles.

If it’s to do thins this way, Putin would better have accepted Bandar’d $14.1bln bribe offer had he accepted to drop Assad. Assad should better have called Netanyahu for help.

And I’m not joking, it’s definitively not Bibi’s interest to let Syria fall into the hands of Erdogoon and they have 15x the aerial power Russia sent at hand.

With a massive aerial campaign, they can wipe out 90% of Idlib’s jihadi combat potential in 48 hours, It’d worth dropping Iran and Hezb and building good neighbourhood.
