BEIRUT, LEBANON (2:40 P.M.) – The Russian Air Force has unleashed a massive assault northwestern Syria this afternoon, targeting a number of sites belonging to the jihadist rebels.

Russian fighter jets flying out of the Hmeimim Airport were reported to have heavily targeted several jihadist sites inside the Shashabo, Al-Zawiya, and Arbaeen mountains in the Idlib Governorate.

Among the areas targeted in these mountains, a military source said the Russian Air Force bombed Hay’at Tahrir Al-Sham’s positions in the towns of Sheikh Mustafa, Ma’arat Hirmah, and Ihsim.

In addition to the Russian airstrikes, the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF) is also launching several attacks across the Idlib and Hama governorates.

These airstrikes by the Russian Air Force have come just hours after a 72-hour-long ceasefire was announced and then rejected by the jihadist and Turkish-backed rebels.

The jihadist rebels also launched a new offensive last night that targeted the Syrian Arab Army’s (SAA) positions inside the town of Qasabiyah, which is located at the southwestern slope of the Al-Zawiya Mountains.

Stop making stupid ceasefires with terrorists, just get rid of them for good, including Turkish. Russia must stop making stupid agreement with Turkey (NATO member).

my guess it was political now they bomb the place to submission….the opposing side rejected the cease-fire….and take that mountain top or blow it from the face of the earth…from this point the bombing needs to be night and day and drones need to fly continuously to watch opposition movement …they want a blood bath, its time they get it….

Yes, all in favor of declaring permanent unilateral cease fire and then bombing the ‘caca’ out of them, say ‘Aye’.

Aye!

Let’s see, Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Izrael, USA, France, Germany (for awhile), Not-So-Great Britain, UAE, yep that’s four, plus all of their PMC’s and NGO’s and leechy (urban definition) proxies. All united to some peculiar level of disunity mostly thanks to Russia, Hezbollah and Iran.
