BEIRUT, LEBANON (3:00 A.M.) – There will be no sleep for the rebel forces in the western countryside of Daraa tonight, as Russian jets hammer the second largest city in the province.
According to a military report from the Daraa Governorate, the Russian Aerospace Forces have launched wave-after-wave of airstrikes over Nawa tonight, hitting several sites belonging to the rebel forces.
Also aiding the Russians is the Syrian Arab Air Force (SyAAF), who has carried out a large number of airstrikes over Nawa and its surrounding area.
The Syrian Arab Army (SAA) has also joined in on this attack by firing several surface-to-surface missiles at the Free Syrian Army’s (FSA) positions inside Nawa this evening.
A source from the Syrian Army told Al-Masdar on Tuesday afternoon that their forces are preparing to storm Nawa in the next 24 hours, as they look to clear the western countryside of the Daraa Governorate before they begin their Al-Quneitra offensive.
As shown in the video released by the pro-opposition channel below, the Syrian Army is heavily shelling Nawa this evening:
