BEIRUT, LEBANON (10:28 A.M.) – Moments ago, the Russian Ministry of Defence (MoD) released an official statement saying that the Russian military would respond to any US aggression that threatened its forces in Syria.

The statement more specifically eluded to a possible US strike against Syrian government targets in Damascus where Russian forces have a presence.

Moscow is convinced that the US plans to use proxy elements in Syria to carry out a false flag chemical weapons attack that will be blamed on the Syrian Armed Forces and used as a pretext for military action.

Russia seems to warn only to strike its own forces.
No WW III to be started by the US. I hope.

They’re protecting the SAA too by default genius.
The Russians aren’t standing off to a corner by themselves, they are intermingled with Syrians.

4 hours ago I’ve said this;
I would also add the following if I were him;

– our (Russian) advisors are on the ground embedded near the reconciliatory centres and humanitarian convoys where they have been negotiation peaceful processes with all interested parties. If anyone uses force of any kind during such processes against or near our advisors we will feel compelled to use any force at our disposal in self-defence against anyone . It is our right and we are ready.

Now we are talking! I may be accused to be a Russian troll and accused of collusion with them 🙂

OK, and what would be your next move? Putin is a chess player. Some people say that he is a master of thinking several moves ahead. The current situation is very difficult from Russia’s point of view.

Very true.
The Americans could try another “mistake” like the one on DeZ in 2016.
Obliterating Tanf and Zuqf would be a strategically useful and tactically effective first response.

Since there are Russians embedded in nearly all SAA units (as far as the US knows), this is a pretty clear stance. It would be up to the US to prove otherwise…before hand? Attacking Russian forces will not play at home like attacking SAA. This is how you call a bluff. Then again, NATO is full of crazies, but the Russians now have an out, especially after Putin’s warning about any nukes on Russian soil, tactical or otherwise. Gee, I wonder what it would be like if we had someone with an active brain cell in DC.
