The Russian Defense Ministry has denied all reports about establishing a new military base in Afrin, northern Syria.

“There are no plans to deploy new Russian military bases on the territory of Syria,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement.

Earlier reports came in that an agreement has been reached between Russia and the Kurdish YPG controlling Afrin in northern Aleppo to set up a military base in the city.

However, a new reconciliation center will be opened near the frontline separating the Kurds from the Turkish-backed fighters in order to observe the truce currently held there.

No tiene nada de malo, tranquilamente puede establecer bases dentro de Siria previa autorización del gobierno Sirio.
EE.UU. tiene bases sin autorización de Siria.
